This is a beautiful edition of a great epic. Coffin's translation tries to imitate the Georgian poetic form; some of the rhymes feel more than a little forced, but it ceases to be distracting as one grows accustomed to it, and that consistent rhythm does evoke the stylistic beauty of the original. The afterward by Levan Gigineishvili is also well worth the read.
